General Information about the 2012 Youth 3x3 tournament

The first-ever FIBA Oceania Youth 3-on-3 International Tournament will be held in Coffs Harbour, Australia from 26th - 28th June 2012.

The tournament will be held for girls and boys aged 16 years and under in 2012 - players must be born 1st January 1996 or later.

All players in the Coffs Harbour event will be housed in an Athlete Village, to replicate the Olympic experience.

The games will be played outdoors, adjacent to Coffs Harbour's main beach.  Specially purchased outdoor courts will be used, while music and food stalls will add to the atmosphere of the event.

All Federations in the zone have been invited to participate in the tournament, and as of November 2011 the following Federations have accepted the invitation: Australia, Fiji, Guam, American Samoa, New Zealand, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia.

We hope that the smaller Federations in the zone will see the benefit of participating in this tournament, as it is their chance to expose their young players to an International basketball event.
