Inaugural Oceania Youth 3x3 Championships come to a close
225 games of basketball on 8 courts over 3 days. Over 200 participants from 17 different countries and clubs. International and Club Championships for boys and girls - and lots of fun!
The stats speak for themselves. Hundreds of games, spectators and participants enjoyed the inaugural FIBA Oceania 3x3 Youth Championships in Coffs Harbour, Australia during the last week.
International teams from Tonga, Samoa, New Caledonia, Australia, Guam, New Zealand and Fiji mixed with club teams from Australia and New Zealand in a unique competition format that provided excellent competition for teams of various abilities.
Mixed with the games were shooting competitions, dunking competitions and dance competitions. Our Pacific Island teams showed the rhythm they are famous for, winning gold in the girls and boys dance competitions.
Australia girls and New Zealand boys took out the International division gold medals, while Coffs Harbour and New Zealand club North Harbour took out the Club Championship.
