New process for selection of 2013 Oceania All Star players and officials

Players and officials wishing to be selected in the 2013 Oceania All Star team must complete a nomination form before the Championships.

Over the past couple of years we have had a number of players and officials withdraw from the All Star program because they were not aware of the program dates or obligations.

To overcome this problem, all players and officials who wish to be selected in the 2013 All Star program must complete a nomination form which contains all the information they need to know before the announcement of teams.

The nomination form indicates the dates of the 2013 program and the payment amount and due date.  All players, coaches, referees and team managers are asked to contribute $600AUD towards the cost of the tour.

Players and officials who would like to be considered for selection should complete the form and return it to their Federation.  The Federation is responsible for forwarding the forms to FIBA Oceania.

The cost of the All Star program is about $75,000AUD.  Players and officials' contributions make up just $15,600, with FIBA Oceania contributing almost $60,000 to the program.
